3 singers on The Voice crack iTunes’ top 10

Cassadee Pope did it again.

No, Cassadee was not number one again on the iTunes singles chart.

But her Monday night performance was the most downloaded among the remaining artists on The Voice for the second straight week.

At 10 a.m., when voting officially ended, Cassadee’s studio version of  “Are You Happy?” was sitting at number two among iTunes 200 most downloaded singles.

The only song ahead of it:  “Home” by Phillip Phillips at number one.

All in all, the performances from The Voice seemed to be gaining in popularity.

Today, all eight performances from last night are ranked among the top 60.

And it appears Melanie Martinez and Nicholas David might also qualify for those “bonus points” that could help keep them in the competition.

The Voice rewards contestants who crack the Top 10 on iTunes by multiplying their downloads by 10 when totaling votes.

At 10 a.m. this morning, Melanie’s “Too Close” was number four;  Nicholas’ “What’s Going On” was number nine.

Where did the rest of The Top 8 land?

Here goes …

  • 19:  “Someone Like You,” Amanda Brown
  • 22:  “Over,” Terry McDermott
  • 38: “Somebody to Love,” Cody Belew
  • 39:  “Greatest Love of All,” Trevin Hunte
  • 56: “Smile,” Dez Duron

There’s more.  Cassadee’s performance of “Over You” from last week jumped back to number 13 on iTunes.

Other past performances still on or returning to the chart include:

  • 65: “Seven Nation Army,” Melanie
  • 75: “Lean On Me,” Nicholas
  • 116: “Stars,” Amanda
  • 118: “Dream On,” Amanda
  • 143: “Toxic,” Melanie
  • 179: “Lights,” Melanie
  • 181: “Not Over You,” Cassadee

So, hey, check out Melanie. Not only did she crack the top 10 on iTunes for a second straight week, she has three previous performances in the top 200.

Pretty impressive, and a sign that she can probably enter tonight’s show knowing a Top 6 performance awaits next Monday.

Check back tonight when I’ll be live blogging reaction as The Voice reveals its latest results.

Melanie is so refreshing and we were privileged to watch her journey to professionalism. She is a blossoming singer that transformed in front of our eyes and we had a front row seat.Think of how she handled the Gigantic pressure of this industry as a seventeen year old.Cudos to her and her family for a job well done.America is proud of our authintic talented singer.Hopefully Mel gets a scolorship and continue to grow.
