Ashley Levin is wasting no time trying to get original music to her new fans.

The Top 20 contestant from Season 12 of The Voice just launched a Kickstarter campaign.

The goal: Raise $11,000 to fund an EP, a future album and cover other expenses as she tries to kick start her music career.

“So many amazing doors have opened for me since the show,” Ashley says in a Facebook post. “But in order to continue following my dreams and get my music and career truly started, I need your help!”

You can check out the Kickstarter campaign and the rewards Ashley is offering donors here.

I’ve also embedded a snippet of her original song, “For You,” below, as she performed it at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville.

You can hear a full version of that song — which will be on the EP — and five other Ashley originals on her Soundcloud page. Just know that she calls those “first takes” of the songs.

You might remember Ashley as the young lady from Miami who was helping care for her father — he suffers from Alzheimers — before her siblings stepped in so she could head to Nashville and follow her dreams of being a singer.

On The Voice, she landed a spot on Team Blake, but was then stolen by Alicia Keys during a rare triple steal attempt in the battle round. She wound up advancing all the way to the live playoffs before being eliminated.
