Audra McLaughlin on the set of The Voice during Season 6.The Philly area singer who made it all the way to the Top 8 on Season 6 of The Voice has launched an indiegogo campaign.

Audra McLaughlin, 22, is looking to raise $25,000 in the next two months.

She’s hoping to use the money to travel to Nashville to write and record music.

She’s even offering up her first guitar as a reward to fuel the effort.

“As a lot of you might know, the music industry is extremely hard to get into,” she says in her indiegogo video. “If you don’t have an investor behind you to pay for recording expenses and traveling expenses, it’s normally left to the artist to figure that out for themselves.”

Audra says she’s been singing since she was 6 and was part of a rock band as a teenager.

Now a country singer-songwriter. she landed on Team Blake on The Voice. Only five singers lasted longer on the show.

One of her shining moments on the show came on Top 8 night, when she covered Reba McEntire’s “You Lie.”

The song hit number five on the iTunes country chart and cracked the Top 30 on iTunes overall singles chart.

She calls her experience on The Voice “the most amazing of my life.”
