sure didn’t take long.

We already have our first music video of 2016 from a former contestant on The Voice.

Kota Wade and Bad Wolf released the video for “Good Intentions” today.

The song is one of six featured on their October 2014 EP “Time is Falling.”

Kota and her band mates have dubbed 2016 #YearOfTheWolf. And, on Facebook, she promises “tons of new music and videos” to come.

Bad Wolf also includes Tommy O. on lead guitar, Tim Falco on drums and Amy Alison Clark on bass guitar.

Kota was a Top 20 contestant on Season 9 of The Voice as a member of Team Gwen.

The day after her blind audition aired, I asked her about her musical future. She made it clear she was not a front woman looking to break out as a solo artist by appearing on the show.

“I have been in band since I was 15 years old,” Kota said at the time. “I’ve been doing music my whole life and kind of exploring different genres. And as soon as I joined the band (Bad Wolf), I decided, you know, this is where it’s at. I want to be a rocker. I want to be in the band. This is what feels the best, feels the most me.

“And this experience on The Voice is just another chapter for me and my band. I’m still much with my band. We’re still working on music every day. And we can’t wait until we can start releasing more new music after this whole new bump of activity that has happened.”

One of the great things about appearing on The Voice, Kota added, was the fact that fans were discovering Bad Wolf’s music because of the show.

Head to the band’s YouTube page and you’ll also find a video for “Stay With Me” from that 2014 EP. The band also previously released a pair of singles, “Drowning Beautiful,” and “A Better World.”
