Brendan Fletcher has released his second single since finishing in the Top 8 on Season 11 of The Voice.

The new song is called “Freightliner” and marks the first he’s released with his full band performing on it.

It follows “Boston,” the debut single he released back in April.

During a Facebook chat with fans last week, Brendan said “Holy City” is another original he’s considering for release sometime soon — either an acoustic or full-band version or both.

“The recording process is taking a longer time than I anticipated because I am a little bit of a perfectionist and I want to put out something I’m proud of and something you guys will enjoy,” he said.

Fans certainly aren’t complaining about the results. The new song, “Freightliner,” is getting rave reviews on his Facebook page. Check out a sampling.

Kirstin Sealy: “I love it so much!! It’s absolutely beautiful! Top shelf.”

Janice Zamb: “Another great track from you.”

Gloria Quinones: “I needed this song in my life.”

Apparently, she’s not the only one. Upon its release, the song cracked the Top 50 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart. It was still clinging to a spot on that chart early Thursday morning.

Brendan was 26 when he auditioned for The Voice, turned three chairs with his cover of “Jolene” and landed a spot on Team Adam Levine.

He needed Adam’s save in the live playoffs to make the Season 11 finals, but then advanced all the way to the Top 8 before being eliminated.

Pre-Voice, he released music with his brother Steve as “Another Brother Band.” Their 2015 EP, “Another Five Songs,” is still available on iTunes.

Here’s a live version of that new single.
