Wade has delivered the first song from his upcoming album, “Only Ghosts.”

The song is called “Three Days,” was released Friday and you can check out a live version performed for FOX4 in Dallas-Fort Worth at right.

Here’s how Luke described the song to AllThingsGoMusic: “I’m always looking for the next soundtrack to my day, and I hope whoever listens feels like the they’ve just been swept off their feet by love or life or whatever experience they want to be high on.”

The album is set for release on Jan. 13 and is available for pre-order now on iTunes. Of course, anyone pre-ordering the album gets “Three Days” as an instant download.

The album title comes from a song called “Kissing Makeup” and stems from the thought that “the things we are afraid of are often just in our mind,” Luke told CelebMix.com.

The Season 7 standout on The Voice is planning a tour to coincide with the album’s release. Keep checking his Facebook page and website for details on that. On Twitter, he’s @lukewademusic.

Luke was 31 when he auditioned for Season 7 of The Voice. He advanced all the way to the Top 8 before being eliminated on the same night as York County’s DaNica Shirey.

“Only Ghosts” will mark his third album, following “Tomorrow’s Ghosts” from 2010 and “The River” from 2014.

Since the show, he released a single called “As Long As She Knows,” plus a cover of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with Mia Z. to support the fight against breast cancer.
