Chris Blue of the Voice Season 12 (NBC Photo)Chris Blue was the very last singer we met during the Season 12 blind auditions, but it didn’t take long for Alicia Keys to snatch him for her team when she heard his rendition of Smokey Robinson’s “Track of My Tears.”

Age 26 when he auditioned, Chris comes from a large musical family. In fact, his mother helped Chris and his four brothers put a band together called The Blue Brothers that toured throughout Florida. The band released an album in 2013 (“Jeremiah”) that’s still available on iTunes.

Pre-Voice, Chris also served as worship leader at a church in Knoxville, Tenn. That’s where he met his fiancee Stephanie, who was later diagnosed with bone marrow cancer and nearly died during an operation.

When she survived, Chris says he made two promises to God — “I would make this woman my wife and I would try out for The Voice.”

Here are his performances from the show.
