Lauren Duski of the Voice Season 12 (NBC Photo)Lauren Duski could be studying to become a dentist right now.

After all, she comes from a family of dentists. And she graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience.

But she’d also began singing and touring since age 7 and never lost her love of music and performing.

So when it came time to decide on a career path, she moved to Nashville. That alone tells you which option won out.

While living back in Michigan, she sang background vocals for a country band called Mercy Wheel. In Nashville, she’s been writing music and preparing for a debut project.

Judging from her success on The Voice — she’s the only finalist to crack the iTunes Top 200 in every round — that material is likely to come in handy for the 25-year-old.

Here’s a look at Lauren’s performances on The Voice.
