Danielle Bradbery back near the top on iTunes

Season 4 Voice winner Danielle Bradbery finds herself in a familiar position this afternoon.

Meaning near the top of the iTunes singles chart.

Danielle Bradbery released "Heart of Dixie" Tuesday.

Danielle Bradbery released “Heart of Dixie” Tuesday.

For those who had forgotten, Danielle’s first post-show single, “Heart of Dixie,” hit iTunes today.

It’s a song about a gal who discovers she’s strong enough to move on without her scumbag of a man.

And Danielle’s fans must be downloading it at a dizzying pace.

The song was number 10 among iTunes top 200 singles at 9 a.m. It had climbed to number five by mid-morning.

As of 1 p.m. EST, it’s sitting at number three, trailing over “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke and the summer anthem “We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus.

And, of course, that means Danielle’s new song is also number 1 on iTunes among country singles.

In my mind, The Voice and the Big Machine Label Group made a smart move by rush releasing a new single for Danielle so soon after her Voice victory, before more singing shows emerge this fall courtesy of Season 5 of The Voice and Season 3 of The X Factor.

Chart success is becoming expected for Danielle. She landed in iTunes’ Top 10 five times during the show, with “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” “Who I Am,” “Please Remember Me,” “Born to Fly” and “Maybe It Was Memphis.”

“Born to Fly” hit number two.

Also new to iTunes today, “Miss Movin’ On,” the first single from Fifth Harmony, the girl group that finished third on Season 2 of The X Factor.

As of 1 p.m., that song was number 26 on iTunes.
