David Archuleta and Madilyn Paige have been pooling their singing show talent on a new song..

It sounds like one of David Archuleta’s upcoming projects will include a special duet.

David took to Twitter earlier to announce that he’d been recording with Season 6 Voice standout Madilyn Paige.

Wrote Madilyn: “So fun working with David Archuleta on this project. Coming sooon.”

The pairing makes a lot of sense. Both singers are based in Utah; both have been involved with the Mormon Church.

David, of course, finished second on Season 7 of American Idol.

Madilyn, 20, made Top 20 on Season 6 of The Voice and has been one of the most prolific of the show’s former contestants in terms of releasing music.

She released an impressive self-titled debut EP in 2015 and has recorded a host of covers since, most recently “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers.

David put out his first major project in four years in the form of a superb EP called “Orion” last month. The EP includes just four tracks, but there isn’t a weak link among them, with the upbeat single “Up All Night” and the ballad “Say Me” as the highlights.

David also released a video for “Up All Night,” which I’ve embedded below.

“Orion” is supposed to be the first in a series of EPs David will be releasing. He’s also touring to support the EP. You can check out upcoming dates on his Faceobok page or website.
