David Cook, Season 7 winner of American Idol, released a new single Friday.

Fans of David Cook have a new date to circle on their 2018 calendars.

East Coast fans have more than one to circle.

David has announced his “Chromance” EP will drop Feb. 16. He’s also announced a set of February tour dates that includes stops in Washington, D.C., Annapolis, Md., and New Hope, Pa. (north of Philly).

“Chromance” is a six-song EP that will feature five originals and David’s take on Phil Collins’ “Another Day in Paradise.”

Two songs — “Gimme Heartbreak” and “Ghost Magnetic” — are already available as instant downloads for anyone pre-ordering the album.

As with his 2015 “Digital Vein” album, David is funding the project with the help of a Pledge Music Campaign. As with “Digital Vein,” that campaign is going very well; some of the reward packages are already sold out.

But fans can still head there and get a download of the EP for as little as $5.99. Signed physical EPs and vinyl versions of the EP are also available, as well as lots of other goodies.

As for the tour, it begins with an EP release party in Nashville at The Basement East on Feb. 15. The closer stops include Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis on Monday, Feb. 19, the New Hope Winery on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and the Pearl Street Warehouse in D.C. on Friday, Feb. 23.
