David Archuleta’s feel-good video for his new feel-good single, “Something About Love,” debuted at Vevo.com today. You can go here to watch it.

The song sounds like a hit, but has yet to crack the Billboard Hot 100. The video will be available for download from iTunes next Tuesday.

“Something About Love” is the lead single from David’s new album, “The Other Side of Down.” Do I sense an upbeat theme here?

Anyway, the album is due out Oct. 5, and pre-orders for all sorts of special fan packages are being offered on David’s website.

Now, those fans who follow David’s every move will note that Oct. 5 date. It’s about three weeks later than the previously announced release date of Sept. 14.

The folks who post on David’s website assure us the delay is for the better, writing that: “David would like to make sure he’s delivering the best possible album, and he needs just a little more time to do it.”

In a video blog posted Sunday, David says the song selection process for the album just ended and that “the songs really reflect who I am.”

He also said his family got to be on hand for the filming of the video. According to one eagle-eyed fan who left a comment on David’s site today, his brother appears in it.

And, naturally, the video is getting great reviews from the fans (they’ve been nominated as the best in the Teen Choice Awards). David’s new hairstyle is earning rave reviews, too.

“Is it just me, or is David just getting cuter and cuter,” writes one fan.
