Haley Reinhart dropped the fourth track — and the first original — from her upcoming album Friday.

The song is called “Let’s Start” and it’s accompanied by a music video with a definite 1960s vibe.

Which fits, of course, because Haley’s album “What’s That Sound” — due out Sept. 22 — is a tribute to the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s.

If you hadn’t heard, “What’s That Sound,” include several covers of popular songs from the era; Haley has already released “Baby, It’s You,” “The Letter” and “For What It’s Worth.”

It’ll also include three original tunes. Casey Abrams, Haley’s duet partner from Season 10 of The Voice, is featured on a pair of tracks. And there’s a Casey cameo in the new video.

The new album is Haley’s third since she won Season 10 of American Idol … oops, I forgot, that’s what should have happened. She actually finished third.

And “What’s That Sound” turned into a family affair. Haley’s dad plays guitar, Haley’s mom provides harmonies. Both were in a cover band while Haley was growing up.

Just Jared premiered Haley’s new song. “I wrote this song long before I knew I was going to be making a full on-60’s album,” she told the site. “Funny how it truly fits the era and things begin to come full circle when timing is right.”

As for the video …

“I had wayyyy too much fun making this new music vid & I have a feeling you’ll be singin’ along in no time,” Haley writes on Facebook. “BIG thanks to all my fellow flower children who danced around & put the LET’S in “LET’S START!”

Haley embarks on a tour next month to support the new album. It includes stops in Philly and a pair in Maryland. You can check out all the dates on that Facebook page.
“What’s That Sound” is available for pre-order. Anyone ordering the album now gets the four already released tracks as instant downloads.

Now here’s that video.
