*** New James video ***

James Durbin announced today via Twitter that the video for “Stand Up” will premiere tomorrow on VeVo.  Apparently, there’s also a sports version that will debut on ESPB.com.

The song is off his “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster” CD and marks the second video from the album. The first was for “Love Me Bad.”

*** Announcement from Jacob ***

Jacob Lusk, Idol’s fifth-place finisher from Season 10, is promising big news on Feb. 7 in a tweet sent to followers earlier today.

“I had an amazing session yesterday and I think we found the single. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it,” he writes.

*** Wow, what a reception ***

David Archuleta has posted a video from his first week of filming a TV mini-series in the Philippines.

All I can say is, wow, what a reception he got.  Check it out in the video below.

*** Steven Tyler’s anthem ***

I was too busy with more important things than to worry about Steven Tyler singing the national anthem before a football game yesterday.

But since his screeching drew screeches of protest, I figure I’ll post the video for those of you who also missed it.  Here it is.

My reaction: You ask Steven “screech” Tyler to sing the national anthem, this is what you get. I’m half surprised it wasn’t more over the top.

Wow, David A is a superstar in Asia countries. I watched videos of his concerts in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia etc. I heard that in the Philippine, his sold out concert had as many audience as that of the entire American Idol season 10 singers together.

David A always gets a great reception in the Philippines. The fans planned for weeks and met at 4AM to head to the airport. And the TV/news coverage this time was the fantastic. I want a DVD set of this series!! And we are expecting the theme song Nandito Ako sung by David to be sold on iTunes. I hope they sell both the Tagalog and English recordings in the US.

I don’t think those were screeches of protest. It looks like the audience was reacting to the fireworks and flyover. Steven’s a Boston boy.
