*** A Naima album, too ***

The album news just keeps coming from the Season 10 Idols.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel posted an item about a hour ago about a record deal for hometown girl Naima Adedapo, who finished in the top 11 last year.

Naima is supposed to release a 3-song EP in March. But that’s just the start, to be followed by a full album later in the year with Peak Records/eOne Music.

“I feel like I’ve been taking the steps to creating original music all of my life, and now I will be able to share it with the world,” Naima said in the press release. “I am overwhelmingly excited.”

On Twitter, she was more succinct: “Let’s get it going!”

*** New EP from Vonzell ***

If you knew that Vonzell Solomon had new music coming out Tuesday and haven’t been able to find it on iTunes, don’t fret.

“True Story” is out and it’s available on CD Baby here.  You can download each of the eight single tracks for 99 cents per, or the full EP for $9.99.  Which doesn’t make a lot of sense, but …

You can listen to short snippets of each song by following the link.  I haven’t had time to check out the full EP, but I’m pretty sure a dance tune called “We Gonna Rock” will be my favorite.

*** New video from James ***

James Durbin has released a second video from his “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster” CD.

The video is for the song “Stand Up.”  And if ever a song was well-suited to be a concert starter, this is it.

Here’s the video.  Well done, James.
