This week’s Billboard charts features two Idol albums in the top 10; it’s been a while since that’s happened.

I’m talking, of course, about Daughtry’s latest CD, which debuted at number one last week but drops a spot this week because of the popularity of the latest Demi Lovato release.

Then there’s Jordin Sparks, who debuts at number seven with “Battlefield.” That’s three notches higher than the debut of her first album, the self-titled “Jordin Sparks,” released in 2007.

Now it will be interesting to see how music buyers react to all the buzz surrounding Kelly Clarkson’s “Already Gone” single and her Friday appearance on “Good Morning America.” Kelly’s fourth album, “All I Ever Wanted,” hit number one earlier this year, but has been dropping rapidly of late. It’s down to number 86 on the Billboard 200.

Here’s a rundown of all the Idols on the charts.

Kelly Clarkson: “I Do Not Hook Up,” the second single off ”All I Ever Wanted,” failed to match the success of the first, peaking at number 20 on the Hot 100 singles chart. This week it’s 61, down eight spots. It’s also number 21 on the Pop 100. Can “Already Gone” do better?

David Cook: “Come Back to Me” moves up two spots to number 20 on the adult contemporary chart. The single falls from 78 to 79 on the Hot 100. David’s album is number 90 on the Billboard 200, down four spots from a week ago.

Daughtry: In addition to the album’s number two ranking on the Billboard 200, the single “No Surprise” is number 28 on the Hot 100, down one spot from a week ago. It holds steady at number 19 on the adult contemporary chart. The band’s first album jumped all the way from 100 to 65 on the Billboard 200 last week when album number two was released. This week, not surprisingly, it settles back in at number 84.

Jennifer Hudson: “If This Isn’t Love” continues to cling to a top 30 spot on the R&B singles chart. This week, it checks in at 29, the fourth straight week it’s been either 29 or 30. Jennifer’s Grammy-winning debut album has dropped out of the list of the top 50 R&B/Hip-Hop albums.

Kellie Pickler: Congrats to Kelly. It’s been a slow climb, but “Best Days of Your Life” cracked the top 10 on the country singles chart this week, coming in at number 10. It’s been in the top 15 for seven straight weeks, and it’s up two spots to number 50 on the Hot 100. Kelly’s self-titled second album has gotten a boost from the single as well. It’s up to number 15 on the country album chart and 72 on the Billboard 200.

Jordin SparksJordin Sparks: “Battlefield” the single nearly matched “Battlefield” the album for chart success this week. It jumped all the way from 25 to number 10 on the Hot 100, and moved up from 13 to 11 on the Pop 100 chart.

Carrie Underwood: If anyone’s counting, “Carnival Ride,” released back in 2007, has been on the charts for 92 weeks now. This week, it checks in at number 17 again on the country album chart and at 88 on the Billboard 200.

Brooke White: ”High Hopes and Heartbreak,” Brooke’s first post-Idol release is an excellent album. Hopefully, folks will find that out. This week, it drops from 50 to 93 on the Billboard 200 and from seven to 18 on the independent album chart.
