Jordan Rager, left, and Kane Brown will be touring together beginning next month.

Former The Voice contestant Jordan Rager released his debut EP on Friday.

And if you missed his show at the York Fair last month, you’ll have a couple of more chances to see him live later this year.

First about the EP. It’s a four-track effort called “Southern Boy,” which Jordan fans will recognize as the name of the single he released as a duet with Jason Aldean earlier this year.

The song became a Top 40 country hit for Jordan — his first. He’s since released a followup single for Broken Bow Records, “Now That I Know Your Name.”

Those two songs are on the EP along with two tunes Jordan co-wrote — “Whatever” and “Underage.”

Jordan told Taste of Country that “Underage” “is kind of like an anthem for troublemakers. I grew up in a small town. And sometimes, when you grow up in a small town, it’s easy to get bored and kind of come up with creative things to do to have fun. Sometimes that involves trouble. That’s kind of what the song’s about.”

He describes the rollicking “Whatever” as one of his favorite songs to perform live. You can check out both of those new tunes bellow.

Twenty-four hours after its release, the “Southern Boy” EP was sitting at number 19 on iTunes county albums chart and number 84 on the site’s overall albums chart.

Now, as for the tour — Jordan will be opening for Kane Brown on his “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now Tour.”

They’ll be making stops in Philly at the Theatre of Living Arts on Dec. 1 and in Silver Spring, Md., at the Fillmore Theater on Dec. 4. You can check out all the tour dates on Jordan’s website.

Jordan was a Season 2 contestant on The Voice, earning a spot on Team Blake. He advanced to the battle round before being eliminated.
