One of the most talented female rockers ever to grace The Voice stage will release her second post-show EP this week.

Juliet Simms’ eight-track “From the Grave” will be out on Friday.

Pre-orders for the new EP are being taken now through her website. A digital download is $8; a physical EP is $10. A variety of merchandise bundles are also available.

Juliet has already released the official lyric video for the song “Phoenix.” Here’s what she said about the song when interviewed by MindEqualsBlown.com.

“The phoenix is grace, it’s beauty, it’s ugly, it’s fire, it’s passion, it’s life, it’s indicative of a lot of stuff I’ve been through metaphorically. It’s the perfect example of life and what a lot of people go through.

“Life isn’t meant to be easy. It’s not. There’s a verge that is so easy to fall into, a path and a road, it’s so easy to veer off and we all do it. I wanted something to connect with my listeners to say, ‘I’m just like you, I’m a person. I’ve f–ked up in the past and it doesn’t mean you can’t pick yourself up and be more beautiful and more strong and grab life by the reigns and get back on the road.'”

As for the EP as a whole, she told OriginalRock.com that the songs are a bit “more raw and unpolished” than her previous releases.

Of course, in Juliet’s case, that includes lots of music. She released an excellent six-track “All or Nothing” EP last year. And her two albums and two EPs with her band Automatic Loveletter include some of the best pre-Voice music you’ll ever hear.

Juliet finished second on Season 2 of The Voice.

What’s next for her?

She told both sites she wants to work on a full-length album of original material.

You can follow Juliet through her Facebook page. On Twitter, she’s @JulietSimmsALL.

Now, here’s “Phoenix.”
