Imagine country cutie Kellie Pickler behind the controls of a bullbozer when her MySpace mood is crazy.

Personally, I’d rather not. But if it’s all for a good cause …

Apparently, that’s how Kellie spent part of her weekend. She’s participating in an episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

The show is providing a home makeover for the Terpenning family of Beavercreek, Ohio. And Kellie will perform after the makeover is revealed.

The episode will air sometime this fall on ABC, according to Kellie’s MySpace page.

“The family was totally surprised,” Kellie wrote after the first day of filming. “It was life changing.”

And as all this was happening, Kellie got a pleasant surprise of her own.

Last Thursday, “Best Days of Your Life” climbed to number 10 on the Billboard country songs chart, giving Ms. Pickler her first top 10 country hit.

Three songs off of her debut album cracked the top 20, with “I Wonder” climbing the highest (14). “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” the first single off her current album, peaked at number 21 on the Billboard country chart.
