For years, Kellie Pickler has been making folks laugh on other people’s TV shows.

I mean, if you’re ever in the need of a quick pick-me-up, just head to YouTube and search for Kellie and Ellen DeGeneres.

The story about how Kellie didn’t get a ticket is my personal favorite.

Now, thanks to the good folks at CMT, Kellie will have her own show.

“I Love Kellie Pickler,” a reality show based on Kellie’s life with song-writing hubby Kyle Jacobs, premieres at 9 p.m. Thursday on CMT.

Kellie promises this will not be a reality TV show filled with phony drama. If you’re looking for cat fights, head elsewhere.

“We don’t have cats,” Kellie jokes in an AP video promoting the show.

She told Tennessean.com that “I Love Kellie Pickler” is something of a cross between “I Love Lucy” and “Friends.”

“I’m hoping people laugh and have fun,” she said. “I feel like with each episode, it gets better and better and all of us get more comfortable with being on camera.”

The executive producer of the show, by the way, is American Idol host Ryan Seacrest.

Will the show be a success?

I wouldn’t bet against Kellie.

After all, she has turned a sixth-place finish and a quirky personality into one of the best post-American Idol careers of anyone not named Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson.

Now, a sneak peek …
