Kelly, of course, is more known for pop than country music.

But her “Don’t You Wanna Stay” duet with Jason Aldean hit number one on the country singles chart.

And “Don’t Rush,” a duet with Vince Gill, has cracked the top 30 on the most recent Billboard country airplay chart. The song is featured on Kelly’s greatest hits album.

As for the awards, Carrie Underwood has a pair of nominations and Kelly has one.

Carrie is nominated as female vocalist of the year along with Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Kacey Musgraves and Taylor Swift.

Her “Blown Away” album is nominated for album of the year along with “Chief” by Eric Church, “Red” by Taylor Swift, “Tailgates and Tanlines” by Luke Bryan, and “Tornado” by Little Big Town.

Kelly’s nomination comes for vocal event of the year, her duet of “Don’t Rush” with Vince Gill.

Other nominations in that category include a performance of “Easy” by Rascal Flatts and Natasha Bedingfield, “Feel Like a Rock Star” by Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, “Let it Rain” by David Nail and Sarah Buxton, and “The Only Way I Know” by Jason Aldean with Luke Bryan and Eric Church.

The ACM Awards will be televised at 8 p.m. Sunday, April 7, on ABC.
