If you hadn’t heard, three former American Idol standouts are touring together and have a number of dates scheduled in the mid-Atlantic region.

I’m talking about Mandisa’s “Out of the Dark Tour,” which also includes Danny Gokey and Jasmine Murray.

That tour is already underway and will include two dates in Pennsylvania — Nov. 11 in the Philly area and Nov. 12 in the Pittsburgh area — followed by a pair in Maryland — Salisbury on Nov. 17 and Bel Air on Nov. 19.

Mandisa releaed her “Out of the Dark” album over the summer, celebrating her emergence from a deep depression she sank into after a good friend died of cancer.

The Grammy winner’s fifth album promptly hit number one on Billboard’s Christian albums chart.

Danny had turned the same feat earlier in the year with his second Christian album, “Rise,” which also spawned a pair of Top 15 hits on the Christian singles chart.

He also wound up with two nominations at the 2017 Dove Awards, held earlier this week. He was nominated as Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year (the win went to Casting Crowns) and “Rise” was nominated as Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year (the win went to “Lifer” by MercyMe.)

Most folks will remember him as the third-place finisher on Season 8 of American Idol behind Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.

Don’t remember Jasmine Murray?

She was a Top 13 finisher on Season 8 — yep, 13 singers made the finals on that season of Idol — and Miss Mississippi in the 2015 Miss America competition.

More important to music fans, she dropped her self-titled debut EP of six tracks late last month. If you haven’t checked it out, make sure to listen to the EP ending “You Belong.”

As a special treat for concert fans, Mandisa, Danny and Jasmine apparently join forces each night to deliver a rendition of Mandisa’s song “Bleed the Same.”

You can check out all of the upcoming tour dates by following one of the links above or visiting Mandisa’s Facebook page.

Oh, and speaking of the Dove Awards, they’re being televised tonight at 9 p.m. on TBN. They’re also live streaming here. Danny performs during the show and Mandisa is among the presenters.
