Anyone tracking results on iTunes shouldn’t have been surprised to see Mark Isaiah in the bottom two on The Voice Tuesday night.

His cover of “One Dance” was the only song from Monday’s live performance show that didn’t crack the Top 200 on the iTunes singles chart.

Troy Ramey’s presence in the bottom two was a bit more surprising. He charted at #78 as of mid-afternoon. His cover of “Free Fallin'” was number one on the site’s rock singles chart.

But they wound up in the bottom two during Tuesday’s elimination show and had to compete for the first instant save of Season 12.

That save went to Mark, the pop singer from Pennsylvania.

Here’s are the save-me performances.

Troy Ramey (Team Gwen): He’ll sing “Drift Away.” Really like the rasp in Troy’s voice. I’m just not sure he’s found his stride on this show yet. Or maybe he’s just one of those guys who sounds much better doing his own music than singing covers. This is falling a little flat too. Grade: C+

Mark Isaiah (Team Adam Levine): He’ll sing “When I Was Your Man.” Nice star for Mark, who has struggled just to stay on pitch lately. Until he reached for the high notes. Then he started to stumble vocally. But all in all, that was probably Mark’s best performance since the battle round. Grade: B

According to the graphic displayed during the Twitter save voting window, that vote was close, with Mark drawing 52-53 percent of the vote.

After the show, he took to Twitter to thank fans for their support.

“I’m blown away out of my mind right now. I am so grateful for ALL of you THANK YOU SO MUCH for believing in me. This is only the beginning,” he tweeted.
