Meet Dan Kiernan of The Voice Season 27

His audition: Dan Kiernan, 33, of New York, performed “High Hopes” by Panic! at the Disco. Proclaiming he loved the song choice, Michael Buble turned almost instantly. After an impressive a cappella interlude, John Legend turned as well. John called it exciting and fun. Michael said he’s ton of fun to watch perform. Kelsea, saying she thinks Dan is fantastic and admitting she made a mistake, pushed her replay button. Moved by that move, Dan opted to join Team Kelsea.

* He was borned and raised in New York City, according to his Spotify bio, where he describes himself as a pop-soul singer-songwriter.

* That bio says he had performed in more than 30 countries before breaking into the New York music scene in 2018.

* He’s since performed at The Bitter End, Sony Hall, The Bowery Electric and other well-known New York venues.

* Dan also produces a monthly music festival in New York highlighting other LGBTQ artists, according to that Spotify bio.

* He currently has four singles available on streaming sites. The most popular on Spotify is “The Other Side” from 2020.

* In 2019, Dan released a live EP recorded at The Bitter End that included covers of “Million Reasons,” “Dancing on My Own” and “Summer Love.” It’s no longer available, but Dan says it hit the LBGTQ music charts in the UK.

* Dan on more than 20,000 followers and more than 800,000 likes on his TikTok. A post there of him covering Adele’s “Easy on Me” from 2022 went viral, and Dan credits that for helping The Voice discover him.

* In another TikTok post in which he thanks fans for all the support they’ve shown recently, Dan says appearing on the show has been “a lifelong dream” and reveals that he first auditioned for The Voice in 2013.

* In a profile on Sound Better, Dan says his sound is similar to Sam Smith, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Brendon Urie, and adds that he’s recorded music in a variety of genres.
