Season 27 kicked off Monday with the coaching quarter of Michael Buble, Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend and Adam Levine.
Here’s more about Hayden.
* He’s a 31-year-old native of Fort Lauderdale who describes himself on social media as the Cleveland crooner and a mental health advocate.
* And in his Spotify bio, Hayden writes that his goal is to “continue to chase his unmatched passion for performing the standard,” adding that he “hopes to keep the music alive and fresh for generations to come.”
* Think that makes Hayden a natural fit for Team Michael Buble? There’s more. Including a TikTok that’s been viewed more than 1.2 million times.
* Michael Buble is featured in that 2022 clip from a show in Pittsburgh. He recognized Hayden in the crowd as a talented singer he followed on TikTok. Then Michael encouraged the audience to follow Hayden as well.
* In a social media post, Hayden called it “the most incredible moment of my life,” adding: “Michael, I can’t even begin to thank you. You’ve been my hero for 20 years and have gotten me through so much and yet, you continue to be the most incredible human being. God bless you, man!
* A 2016 graduate of Ohio State University, Hayden has been performing since grade school — and has a post on his Instagram to prove it.
* He quickly fell in love with the music made popular by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Elvis Presley, singing “Mack the Knife” at a sixth-grade talent show.
* He’s released lots of music, including an album called “Feeling Good” from 2022, “Hayden: The Album” from 2023 and a Christmas EP from 2016.
* His most popular song on Spotify with more than 80,000 streams is “Sway” from that 2022 album.
* Oh, and speaking of Christmas, from late November on, Hayden performed 33 shows in 33 days at 28 venues during a Hayden for the Holidays tour.
* Writes Hayden of that experience: “It was quite the journey, but I’m so blessed to spread even the tiniest bit of holiday cheer by doing what I love.”
* Hayden’s also a social media producer, reporting on Cleveland sports team for Cleveland.com. And he got to sing the national anthem at a Cleveland Guardians game in July 2023, calling it a “childhood dream come true.”
