Melanie Martinez has twice taken to Twitter to deny sexual assault allegations made by a former friend.

Now she appears to have addressed the situation in song.

Melanie, 22, posted a new tune called “Piggyback” to her Soundcloud account on Friday, and some of the lyrics seem targeted at fellow artist Timothy Heller, who went public with her allegations on Dec. 4 on Twitter.

If you haven’t seen Melanie’s Twitter responses, you can check them out here.

On “Piggyback,” Melanie sings …

“I’m so done with playing piggy back / Swear to god I wished y’all all the best / You’re lying your way to try and gain a piece of me / when you could never come close cause I know my destiny / I worked hard for my sh– / Put my love in this sh– / Now you’re trying to kill my name for some fame / What is this / Tried to help you do your sh– / Encouraged you to work on it / Was a good friend and you used that to your advantage.”

Lots of fans are taking the song as Melanie’s response to the situation. As of Christmas night, the Soundcloud posting had attracted nearly 1,600 comments from supporters and detractors.

The most successful artist to hail from The Voice, Melanie had been celebrating a year in which her debut album “Cry Baby” was certified platinum and completed a two-year run on the Billboard 200.

She’s been working on a sophomore album, which she has said will be accompanied by a full-length, self-directed feature film.
