After The Voice

Paula DeAnda celebrates her birthday with a gift to her fans

Former The Voice contestant Paula DeAnda celebrated her 26th birthday this week.

She celebrated by releasing a new song called “Believe in Love.”

And as a thank you to fans, she’s made it available as a free download from Soundcloud.

I’ve embedded it at right so you can check it out.

Paula appeared on Season 6 of The Voice, landing a spot on Team Blake. She was eliminated in the battle round when matched against eventual finalist Sisaundra Lewis.

And she’s hardly a novice at the music business. As a teenager, she was signed by Clive Davis, released a debut album and recorded a pair of gold singles. But she never got to release a followup album.

Since The Voice, Paula released an EP called “The Voice and the Beat” with the Jump Smokers (check out “Horns Blow” and “Arrivederci!” if you never have.) She also released a single called “Marching” earlier this year.

And there should be more Paula music coming our way. Early this year, she launched a successful KickStarter campaign, raising more than $3,000 to help fund a new EP.

You can keep up with Paula through her Facebook page and on Twitter, where she’s simply @pauladeanda.
