Just two weeks and three episodes remain on American Idol Season 14.

How is this all going to work?

Well, Wednesay night, one singer will be eliminated, leaving three to advance to next week’s double dose of Idol.

Idol will air at 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, and Season 14 will conclude with a two-hour show on Wednesday, May 13.

Presumably, a contestant will be eliminated very early during the one-hour show on May 12, leaving two singers to compete for the Season 14 crown.

Got all that? Now, on with the Top 4 rankings.

1. Jax (1): Early in the finals, the gal from East Brunswick, N.J., was plagued by inconsistency. There’s been nothing inconsistent about her recent efforts. She’s been the best perfomer/singer three weeks running. (Photo gallery from Jax’s hometown visit)

2. Nick Fradiani (3): He hasn’t created a ton of moments, but he’s been remarkably consistent and he has momentum on his side. Not to mention the unwavering support of the three judges, who keep pointing out that he’s peaking at the right time. (Photo gallery from Nick’s hometown visit)

3. Clark Beckham (2): You have to admire the way Clark stuck to his guns in that little flair-up with Idol mentor Scott Borchetta last week. But you also have to admit Keith Urban’s critique was on the mark: Clark has been showing up on stage with album tracks the past couple of weeks when he needs to show up with hit singles. 4. Rayvon Owen (4): I wasn’t at all surprised to see Rayvon make the Top 4. Give the guy a ballad, and he’s going to deliver a wonderful vocal and an emotional performance. All that said, I will be surprised if he makes the finals. (Photo gallery from Rayvon’s hometown visit)
