Sam Woolf, from Season 13 of American Idol, has released a new single.

The new year also brought new music from a former American Idol standout Sam Woolf.

He has a new single out called “Fast n Dirty,” and it’s safe to say the upbeat tune is quite different than anything he’s released to date.

There’s also a music video, which you can check out below.

“Never in a million years did I think I’d have a song called ‘Fast and Dirty,'” Sam admits. “I’d just like to say that this song/video is supposed to be a joke, in a way … don’t take it seriously.”

On YouTube, Sam says he wrote the song with friends Orion Meshorer and Stephen Puthon on a trip to New Jersey.

Fans of the show will remember Sam as the young man who finished fifth in Season 13; that’s the seasond Caleb Johnson and Jena Irene Asciutto made the finals.

Since Idol, Sam has released an EP called “Pretend” in 2015 and a single called “Stop Thinking About It” last year.

You can follow Sam through his Facebook page and website. Now, here’s the video.
