A reminder, folks: We’re just days away from a performance by an American Idol winner in York.

Scotty McCreery headlines this year’s Jingle Bell Jam at the York Expo Center’s Utz Arena.

The show is 6 p.m. Sunday night and also features performances by Kristy Lee Cook and Kayla Kroh.

The best part of all: Tickets are just $15, and while sales have been strong, good seats remain, says York Fair president Gene Schenck.

This is the third year for Jingle Bell Jam, organized by the York Expo Center and Great Country Radio WGTY 107.7, the same folks who present the free country concerts at the York Fair each year.

The first year Jingle Bell Jam was held, the headliner was Lauren Alaina, runner-up to Scotty on American Idol Season 10.

Sunday’s show is timely for Scotty fans, because he just released his second studio album: “See You Tonight.”

That album is sitting at number 13 after nine weeks on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart; the lead single by the same name moved up from 24 to 19 on Billboard’s hot country songs chart this week.

And Scotty released a Christmas album last year at this time, so I won’t be surprised if we hear some tunes from that CD as well.

Kristy Lee, of course, also has an Idol past, having been a finalist back in Season 7.

She also has a York Fair past. She performed at one of those WGTY shows in September, delivering a fine performance that included renditions of her two most recent singles, “Airborne Ranger Infantry” and “Wherever Love Goes,” a duet with Randy Houser.

As for Kayla Kroh, she’s a local gal, a student at Central York High School. She has a five-track EP that you can download from iTunes and listen to on her website.

And this won’t be her first time opening for a singing-show star. Just last month, she played the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, opening for Melanie Martinez, a finalist on Season 3 of The Voice.

Tickets for Sunday’s show can be ordered by phone at (717) 848-2033 and online at www.yorkfair.com. There is a processing fee for phone and internet orders. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

Check back Sunday night for photos of coverage of Jingle Bell Jam.
