Season 5 Voice standout Jacquie Lee released the first single from her upcoming EP Friday.

And she says it’s the very first song she wrote for the project, her first since parting ways with Atlantic Records.

The song is called “Am I the Only One” and it’s about the anxiety Jacquie felt as she was traveling back and forth from her home in New Jersey to Los Angeles and working to discover her voice as a recording artist.

“I was totally lost and wingin’ it — suuuuuper anxious,” she writes on her Instagram page.

“It was a transition period for me that (little did I know at the time) would be the beginning of this insane chapter of my life.”

Now 20 and based in L.A., Jacquie Lee will celebrate the release with a special show tonight at the Hotel Cafe in L.A.

She promises to perform all her new music, including the entire EP she plans to release later this summer.

Jacquie Lee was just 16 when she auditioned for The Voice. Despite her lack of inexperience, she combined big vocals and impassioned performances to sing her way to a second-place finish behind Tessanne Chin.

She’s since released an EP (2014’s “The Broken Ones”) and a couple of singles. The most recent was “Somebody’s Angel,” a song she dedicated to the late Christina Grimmie and cultural icons who passed in 2016.
