Tay Beckham delivers a debut EP and a new music video

Tay Beckham, a Season 4 contestant on The Voice, has released a debut EP, Love Hard.Tay Beckham celebrated her 20th birthday earlier this month by releasing her first single, a song called “Excuses.”

She’s since followed it up with a music video for that song and a debut EP, “Love Hard,” both of which dropped on Friday.

Tay — going by Taylor then — was a Season 4 contestant on The Voice. Thanks to a steal, she was a member of both Team Usher and Team Blake during her run on the show.

Just 17 when she auditioned, she advanced to the knockout round before being eliminated when she was pitted against eventual winner Danielle Bradbery.

The flame-haired singer, from Dallas according to her show bio, has since relocated to L.A.

Her lead single is an R&B / pop track about a guy who’s not nearly as committed to their relationship as Tay is.

You can guess how that ends: Tay dumps the boyfriends and his million excuses.

As for the EP, you’ll definitely want to check out the title track, “Love Hard.” The catchy, mid-tempo tune is definitely my favorite among the EP’s six songs.

Heck, I’ll just embed it and the video below. Want to hear the rest of the songs? Just head here.

Here’s how Tay sums up her new music in an interview with PopMania: “I’m just excited about the whole sound of the EP, it has that R&B feel. It’s really, honestly feel-good music, it just makes you happy. It’s super relatable, the whole thing is.”

You can keep up with Tay through her website. On Twitter, she is simply @TayBeckham.
