Taylor Phelan from Season 7 of The Voice has released an impressive seven-track indie-rock EP.

The best news for fans of his music — it’s only part one.

In fact, the EP is titled “1 of 2,” pointing to that fact.

Highlights this time around include “Monsters,” a song he first released as a single in the spring of 2016, and the defiant “Backstabber.”

That said, there isn’t a weak track on the EP.

“There isn’t a specific theme to this collection of music,” Taylor told HollywoodLife.com, which premiered the collection earlier this week.

“It spanned a large part of my life — having my first kid, being on The Voice — and encompassed many social issues throughout the last four years. There was a lot of music that grew out of this period, so we decided to release it in two parts.”

Among the songs with a social message is “Settle Down,” about the importance of trying to see another person’s perspective when disagreeing about an issue. Taylor released an imaginative music video to accompany the song last month.

Taylor was 25 when he auditioned for The Voice in 2014 and landed a spot on Team Pharrell Williams. He was later stolen by Adam Levine and advanced all the way to the Top 20 before being eliminated.

Since the show, he’s released a pair of singles, an Audiotree Live EP and a 12-track solo debut album, “Where the Ocean Shallows,” which came out last April and also included “Monsters.”

Physical copies of the new EP are available through his website. And Taylor is currently wrapping up a summer tour. Check out remaining dates on his Facebook page.

Now here’s a live version of “Monsters.”
