I doubt Carson Daly will keep us in suspense for long tonight.

We’re likely to find out which singers will be voted into the top three very early in the show.

That’s because The Voice has a lot planned for tonight and only an hour of airtime (minus about 20 minutes for commercials) to squeeze in nine wild card performances.

Oh, and Matt McAndrew should be pretty relaxed as the results are announced.

Here’s why: I just rechecked the voting rules, and tonight’s iTunes vote total will be cumulative. That means all the bonus points earned in previous weeks will help determine who advances to the final three.

Matt has landed in bonus points territory three times — with “Take Me to Church,” “The Blower’s Daughter” and last night’s “Make It Rain” — so that rule should benefit him.

Craig Wayne Boyd has scored bonus points twice. Chris Jamison did it twice this week. Damien and Taylor John Williams have earned bonus points just once — last week — but those will count toward tonight’s results.

For a look at where everyone landed on iTunes this week, head here.

My guess is Carson will be congratulating Matt, Craig Wayne and Chris for making the final three by … oh, say 8:15 p.m.

And then Taylor John and Damien will have to join the other eliminated contestants in hopes of earning the fourth spot in next Monday’s finale.

Wow, the show just began and Carson has already gathered the Top 5 in the center of the stage.

The Top 3 on The Voice are …

* Chris Jamison: The heartthrob and his falsetto did it, with lots of help from The Voice producers. But he was pretty good last night.
* Craig Wayne Boyd: I was actually worried a little about Craig Wayne, but that performance of “The Old Rugged Cross” sealed the deal.
* Matt McAndrew: He’s been the most impressive since the finals began and is still the favorite to win Season 7.

Now they can relax while everyone else battles it out for that wild card spot.
