What do Brook Wood, Tori Templet, Aaron Rizzo, Braxton Garza and Fran Posla have in common?

They were all eliminated during the battle round on The Voice.

And they’ve all got new music out, dropping singles that show their promise as recording artists.

Here’s a bit more about those releases. Follow the links for more about each of the artists.

Brook Wood dropped the country-tinged “Wonder What You Miss” on Monday. It’s the debut single from Brook. She says “it was inspired by those infamous late night ‘I miss you’ texts that somehow leave you feeling even worse than when they ghosted you.” On social media, Brook says she’s grateful for her time on the show and the exposure it provided. “I have been singing professionally for 10 years and I am only just getting started! Strapping up my new @tecovas and stomping my way into a new chapter,” she adds.

Tori Templet released “Heart’s a Liar” in late February. It’s her first release in four years. And she said her time on The Voice was key to making it happen. “It’s taken me a long time to rediscover my love for creating music, and I’m really thankful for the space I gave myself to find my way back. This was the first song I wrote after about a two-year hiatus, and it’s all thanks to my Voice family for encouraging me to keep pursuing this wild career.”

Aaron Rizzo released a song called “Mouth Breather” over the weekend. “I’m beyond excited and humbled to have this song out in the world. We got 5 people in a room and made a loud ass rock song that’s been a long time coming. I’m finally making the music that I’ve wanted to make since I was a kid.” Unfortunately, both of Aaron’s performances on The Voice were montaged, an issue he addresses in this heartfelt Instagram post. Still, he calls the experience “a net positive” and says the fact that he’s making music now is partly attributable to the lessons learned on the show. He’s planning an album and has launched a fundraiser to help support that project.

Braxton Garza has released a soulful debut single called “No Good.” Says Braxton: “Super excited to start sharing everything by we’ve been working on 🙏🏽 blessed with all the opportunities I’ve been given from this wild journey.” In a recent interview with ClickOnDetroit, Braxton expresses his appreciation for The Voice experience and the extra boost of confidence provided by his coach, Michael Buble.

Fran Posla has released a great debut single called “Oh No.” Says Fran: ” I wrote it at a time where it brought me a lot of comfort so I’m pumped to get to share it with y’all.” She’s also about to release an EP called “Sanity” and will be singing her originals at a pair of shows later this week. Fran’s also released her wonderful mashup of “Jolene” and “Hallelujah” to streaming sites.
