After The Voice

Sawyer Fredericks to return to The Voice Tuesday night

0
Sawyer Fredericks announced a release date for his first post-Voice album, I was hoping this would happen.

I was hoping The Voice would show the Season 8 champ that same courtesy if showed Jordan Smith by allowing Sawyer to perform a song from the album on an upcoming results show.

Wish granted.

Sawyer will return to The Voice stage Tuesday night to sing “4 Pockets,” the first new song released from his upcoming album, “A Good Storm.”

I say the first new song because four of the 11 songs on the album were released as an EP back in November.

The new album is now available for download on iTunes as well as Sawyer’s website. It’s due out May 13.

And anyone pre-ordering the album will get “4 Pockets” as an immediate download, as well as those other four songs if you don’t already own them.

This will actually be Sawyer’s second return visit to The Voice as a guest performer.

In November, when the EP was released, he showed up to sing “Take It All.” The video for that song came out in February.

Also performing during Wednesday’s results show will be DNCE, the group led by Joe Jonas.

By the way, I still think everyone of these guest performance spots should go to a former Voice contestant. Like Javier Colon or Xenia from Season 1, both of whom just released new music.
