Check out the Capitol Fourth performances from Alisan Porter, Cassadee Pope

July 4 turned out to be a wet, dreary holiday in the Mid-Atlantic region.

But if you weren’t out at a celebration and missed the PBS special A Capitol Fourth, I’ve embedded the performances by Cassadee Pope and Alisan Porter below.

Alisan opened the evening with a performance of the national anthem. Cassadee later performed a very nice, slower tempo version of her 2015 single “Invincible.”

During a pre-concert interview with PBS, Cassadee also talked about her new four-song “Summer” EP, the precursor to a full-length sophomore album.

That album should be out this fall, Cassadee said.

She says it will be “very revealing as far as my personality and experiences over the past couple of years. I’m kind of baring it all on this new body of work, and I think people will get to know me a lot better.”

Now, here are those performances.
