That’s where her cover of “Ghost in This House” was sitting as of noon, and the reception to her performance almost guarantees that she’ll be singing for The Voice crown next week.
But she’s just one of at least four Voice artists poised to receive bonus points for their iTunes performances after Monday’s show, setting the stage for a dramatic Tuesday night’s results show.
Chris Blue’s chances of making the finals via fan voting are skyrocketing, with both of his performances from Monday landing in the Top 10, including his rendition of “Take Me to the King” at number two.
And Aliyah Moulden’s chances are looking up too. She landed in the Top 10 for the first time with her show-closing performance of “I Can Only Imagine.”
Through no fault of their own, both Chris and Aliyah are also benefiting from The Voice’s blatantly unfair decision to count duets for voting purposes for the first time ever.
Chris and Vanessa Ferguson are in the Top 10 on the chart with their performance of “If I Ain’t Got You;” Aliyah and Hunter Plake have cracked the Top 20 with their cover of “Let It Go.”
Meanwhile, something strange was happening with those charts at noon. Hunter’s “With or Without You” was listed twice, at number 18 and 49. Earlier this morning, it was listed at number 10. My guess is that’s closer to the truth.
Also listed twice is the TSoul and Jesse Larson duet, at number 99 and number 104. At 8:30 a.m., it had been listed at number 46.
Remember, the top three vote getters from Monday’s show automatically advance to the finas; the bottom two are automatically eliminated.
Those falling in between have to compete for a Twitter save.
Here’s where all the songs ranked on the charts as of 8:30 a.m.
I’ll be updating the blog when voting closes.
