After American Idol

Check out the latest single from former Idol standout Joshua Ledet

Ledet recently released his second post-American Idol single.

It’s a power ballad called “Trust Me I Lie,” written by Diane Warren.

And it’s apparently a song that’s been around for a while. Check YouTube and you’ll find a version former X Factor judge Nicole Scherziger planned to release in 2012.

I prefer Joshua’s version, which is a followup to his debut single “Love Can Do.”

“I’m extremely excited about the beautiful song,” Joshua told rollingout.com. “The lyrics just have so many meanings, so much depth and I just love it. I think the world will love it too.”

His fans clearly do. Just check out some of the comments on Joshua’s Facebook page.

Joshua finished third on Season 11 of American Idol, right behind Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips, all three of whom performed on the American Idol show finale earlier this year.

Speaking of Facebook, Joshua and Jessica are conducting a Facebook Q&A together Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET and he’s accepting questions now.
