Brooke White starred in the last Family Movie Night film, “Change of Plans,” brought to us by Walmart and P&G (Procter & Gamble).

Now season eight Idol contestant Danny Gokey will make a special guest appearance in the next film, “Truth Be Told,” set to air on Saturday, April 16, at 8 p.m. on FOX.

Gokey has a speaking part in the film, and he’ll sing a song titled “Everybody Wants to Be Somebody,” according to a public relations rep with P&G Entertainment.

Past Family Movie Night films have been released as a DVD/CD soundtrack combo. (If you missed the news, the “Change of Plans” release has been bumped back from today to April 26.)

But there won’t be a soundtrack release with “Truth Be Told,” I’m told.

Meanwhile, here’s the plot:

Colorado’s leading marriage counselor, played by Candace Cameron Blue, isn’t married.

She’s invited to join a media mogul at his ranch to discuss her possible dream job, hosting a radio advice program.

Fearing her single status might ruin her chances of landing that job, Candace drags an old college friend and recent widower (played by David James Elliott) along for the trip.

They, of course, pretend to be married, leading to all sorts of complications.

You’ll have to watch to find out how Danny is involved in all of this.

But he’s not the only guest star. The film also features a cameo by Kurt Warner of NFL fame.
