With an album release right around the corner, Elise Testone has released a video for her 2013 single “I Will Not Break.”

Love this song, and the video is equally well done.

Elise Testone will release her debut album, "This Life," next week.

Elise Testone will release her debut album, “This Life,” next week.

And for those who have been eagerly awaiting Elise’s debut album, “This Life” is supposed to hit iTunes on Tuesday.

Here’s what Elise writes about the album on her website:

“‘In This Life’ tells a continuous story of my personal and non-personal struggles with relationships on various levels, and the effects they have had on me and my growth as a woman. Using what I call ‘word painting’, I have produced this album to bring these stories to life.

“I have combined all my years of musical knowledge gained through education, live performances, private lessons, the study of multiple genres, and artistic intuition in its production. My hope is that the sounds and words fuse to affect the listeners’ senses in an unexpected way. I’ve done my best to turn my struggles into something beautiful.”

To celebrate the album, Elise is having a pair of release shows in her hometown of Charleston, S.C., next Thursday. According to her Facebook page, the show at The Charleston Pour House will be streamed live through phoncert.com.

Then Elise will hit the road. And one of her stops will be in Philly on Wednesday, March 19, at World Cafe Live. Tickets are $15 and available here.

Elise, 30, finished 6th back on Season 11 of American Idol, when her signature performance was a cover of “Whole Lotta Love.”

In contrast, “I Will Not Break” is a simply beautiful ballad. I put it at #4 on my list of favorite American Idol songs of 2013.

Here’s the video.
