Hannah Mrozak has dropped “My Way,” her first single since appearing on Season 13 of The Voice.

And this isn’t a cover of the Frank Sinatra classic. It’s a soulful and sultry original that the Wisconsin native wrote after finishing in the Top 20 on the show.

“The inspiration came from a previous boyfriend of mine,” Hannah told Voice Views. “It basically talks about just being vulnerable with someone and literally just wanting to be with that person.”

In addition to being the first song she wrote after the show, Hannah said it’s one that came to her quickly and does “a great job of summarizing my sound.”

More music is coming. Hannah said she’s hoping to release her first major original project — an EP featuring five or six songs — by late May.

“It’s going to be an R&B/soul album and I couldn’t be more excited,” she added. “I wrote every song on the EP and am helping co-produce it as well.”

Hannah was 19 when she auditioned for The Voice, turned three chairs and landed a spot on Team Adam Levine. At age 16, she had advanced all the way to the Top 48 on Season 14 of American Idol.

You can follow her on Facebook and Instagram. On Twitter, she’s simply @hannahmrozak.

Here’s Hannah’s “My Way.” The music video for the song will drop Sunday.
