Scotty McCreery was named Best New Artist and Kelly Clarkson walked away with two trophies at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday night.

In a fan-voted award, Scotty bested Brantley Gilbert and Hunter Hayes.

Kelly, meanwhile, joined Jason Aldean on the stage to accept the Single of the Year award for “Don’t You Want To Stay.” Their duet of the song also won for Vocal Event of the Year in an award announced before the show.

Sunday’s broadcast on CBS also included a performance of “Good Girl” by Carrie Underwood. She was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, an honor that went to Miranda Lambert.
