Janelle Arthur Janelle EPJanelle Arthur, an American Idol finalist back in Season 12, has released a new EP.

The EP is simply called “Janelle” and features five tracks.

The music starts with a don’t-you-dare-do-me-wrong foot-stomper called “Pine Hill” and concludes with a lovely ballad called “This Ole Six String.”

And Janelle issues this warning on Facebook: “If you don’t like country music that tells a story, makes you wanna dance, cry or sing along, don’t click the link.”

Apparently fans approve. A sampling for the Facebook feedback …

Renee Martin: “You sound amazing Janelle!”

Jerry Thomas” “Love it,Love it,Love it!!!”

Jeff Mastro: “‘This Ole Six String’ is going to be a big hit for you – promise.”

Ritchie Williams: “Six string gave me chills.”

This marks the first substantial release from Janelle, 25, since she appeared on Idol.

Janelle finished fifth in Season 12. That year marked her third attempt to make it into the finals on the show.

She wound up finishing behind four other female singers: Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb.

Since then, she had released a single called “What You Asked For” back in May 2014.
