Recent releases from artists fans met on The Voice include the following.

Johnny Gates from Season 12 of The Voice released a double album called “Bipolar” earlier this week. Twelve of the songs were released as Johnny Gates; 12 were released as his side project, Johnny Was Here. The 24-song project includes a pair of covers, Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” and Taylor Swift’s “the 1.” Otherwise, it’s all originals. “I don’t know when I’ll release music again,” writes Johnny at the end of an explanation of the project on social media. “But I’m thankful I did this. I need it. And at the end of the day, that’s the entire point.”

Mia Z from The Voice Season 8 was a music-making machine in 2024, releasing more than a dozen singles. She shows no sign of slowing down in 2025, dropping “Give It Up” on Friday. And she nails an over-the-back, no-look basketball shot on social media to promote the single.

Madeline Consoer from Season 19 released “Why Baby Why” on Friday. She even learned how to ice skate to promote her first single of 2025. “I have so much music coming out in 2025 and I can’t Wait!” she writes on Instagram. Madeline released five singles in 2024, including “Overthinking,” which has more than 76,000 streams on Spotify.
