* Lauren Duski, runner-up from Season 12 of The Voice, released “The Broken Kind,” her first single of 2020 on Thursday. Here’s the story behind the song, shared by Lauren on social media: “A little over a year ago, one of the people closest to me was fighting through a really difficult time & I was struggling to find the best way to help. This song was my way of telling him that I am always here no matter what. Now, more than ever, it is so important to check in on your people & have those conversations.”

* Presley Tennant from The Voice Season 16 released “Temporary” on Friday, a song about a love that’s fleeting, but worth it nonetheless. It’s follows “Me and You” and “Childish” as the third single from Presley since she auditioned for The Voice at age 16. “Temporary” is her first country single among those three.

* Cody Belew from Season 3 released his version of “A Thousand Miles from Nowhere,” a song Dwight Yoakam released back in 1993. “Dwight Yoakam wrote a song that has stood up against time and the fickle ways of man. It was truly an honor shaping it to fit my voice,” Cody writes on social media.
