‘Live It Up’ with Lee Dewyze on Wednesday

The cover art of Lee DeWyze's upcoming album, Live It Up.We’re just two days away from hearing new music from Lee DeWyze, American Idol’s season nine champ.

Lee’s new single, “Live It Up,” will debut Wednesday morning on Ryan Seacrest’s radio program, according to a release posted Sunday on the Idol website.

“Live It Up” is also the title of Lee’s new album, which will hit stores on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

According to Lee’s website, the album will feature a “blend of rootsy pop, rock and folk.”  And Lee co-wrote most of the songs, something that’s not always true when Idol champs come out with their first post-Idol albums.

“To see my name listed in the credits on each song was really important to me because I’m a songwriter” DeWyze says on his site.

Of course, this being an Idol album, he had lots of collaborators.

Not that he necessarily needed them. His pre-Idol album, “Slumberland,” is quite impressive. Here’s hoping they didn’t mess too much with the Lee DeWyze sound.

Anxious fans can already pre-order the album on iTunes or Amazon.com.
