Jen Hirsh, Season 11

Meet American Idol contestant Jen Hirsh

7

You won’t have to wait for Jen Hirsh to do well on American Idol to check out her music.

After all, she released a 10-track album named “MySelf in Two” in March, following up on a 5-track jazz EP “Sweet Words” that came out in 2008. Both are available on iTunes.

Back in Season 9, she made it to Hollywood by auditioning with “Ding, Dong, the Witch is Dead.”

Last year, she advanced as well, but had to bow out of the competition when both of her grandparents died just before Hollywood Week.

This year, the gal from Augora Hills, Calif., auditioned in Galveston and got another golden ticket.  She says Randy Jackson proclaimed “there’s a pro in the house” after her audition.

Jen is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, which she calls “the most amazing four years of my life.”

On Facebook, she classifies her music as pop / indie / soul.

So let’s listen to some of that music.
