His audition: Divighn, 33, Gardena, Calif., “I Got You (I Feel Good)” by James Brown: Showing off great stage presence, Divighn delivered a fun and vocally impressive performance. Midway through the performance, Kelsea Ballerini turned. Michael Buble joined her late in the performance. Michael said he sounded great and is quite the entertainer. Kelsea called his performance divine and said she knew he was a performer without even turning around. Divighn opted to join Team Michael.

* Divighn is the stage name for 33-year-old Devaughn Roseman of Los Angeles, Calif., who was nicknamed Divine Devaughn by one of his sisters growing up.

* He hails from a family of nine children and by age 10 joined his three youngest siblings to form a music group known as The Anointed Rose Buds.

* An a cappella quartet, the Rose Buds performed at churches around the L.A. area and even recorded an album, according to Divighn’s website bio.

* That bio also says he auditioned for the role of young Simba in Broadway’s “The Lion King” at age 12 and landed the role, only to break his arm on the very day he learned he had earned the part.

* Divighn continued to sing, inspired by the music of James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Prince and Michael Jackson.

* In 2013, at age 22, as Devaughn Roseman, he successfully auditioned for Season 3 of The X Factor, but didn’t make it to the live shows.

* Between 2020 and 2022, Divighn released a half dozen R&B singles, beginning with an original love song called “Stay” and ending with the sultry “Starlight” in late 2022. The latter shows off his impressive range.
