Lola Bonfiglio is among the artists who auditioned for the new season of American Idol.

Idol kicked off March 9 with Carrie Underwood joining Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie at the judges’ table.

Auditions will continue to air each Sunday on ABC until Hollywood Week begins.

Here’s more about Lola:

* She’s the daughter of Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips fame and the granddaughter of Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys.

* In fact, Lola was accompanied to her audition by mother Carnie, father Rob Bonfiglio and Wendy Wilson, Carnie’s mother and the other founding member of Wilson Phillips. They appear to have performed together for the judges at some point during the audition.

* That’s nothing new for the family. Lola has already appeared on a pair of TV shows with her family members.

* In June 2021, she appeared on the Kelly Clarkson show, singing the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” with Brian, Carney and Wendy.

* Wrote Lola on social media: “I am so so so excited to finally share that a dream I’ve had since I was very little has come true. Not only did I get to sing with the absolutely incredible @kellyclarkson , but I was also able to share a really beautiful moment with my mom, aunt, and grandpa singing one of his most special songs.”

* Then, last January, she appeared on the FOX game show “We Are Family” in which performers sing a song, then a duet with a family member while contestants try to guess to whom they are related.

* Lola performed the Beach Boys’ “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” as a solo; then sang “California Dreamin'” with her mom.

* And Lola’s been performing with her parents for some time. Here’s a link to a video of Lola singing “Little Bird” with her mom while her dad plays guitar and her younger sister Lucy plays cello. It’s from April 2018.

* Carnie’s assessment of her daughter’s vocal ability: “She can sing anybody in this family under the table,” she told People in an April 2024 interview.

* Lola, 18 at the time of that interview, doesn’t appear to have released her own music yet. But you can check out her performance of “Falling” by Harry Styles at the California Institute of the Arts below.
